I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
